Volume Based Metrics
In combination with a
detailed WBS (work breakdown structure) it can be valuable
to use tools to ensure teams have estimated work effort
accurately and that work is being completing at an adequate
pace for on time completion.
Volume Based Metrics
Rhodes Consulting has developed a
method of tracking, trending, and reporting work progress
using Volume Based Metrics (VBM) charts. This method
is used to review progress with the team to determine if
mitigation needs to be implemented. It is also used
to provide executive leadership with visibility into work
progress.
